Further information
500 years ago exchanging messages over greater distances was not as fast and effortless as it is today. Mail was delivered by horse and it was not unusual for riders to spent weeks on the road. The only postrider station in Luxembourg was located in the village of Asselborn, in the North of the country. This is where the guided historical-humorous hiking tour begins. On a route of about 5 km, which partly follows the original route of the 16th and 17th centuries, hikers can enjoy theatre performances and exchange with “contemporary witnesses”.
